In a personal reflection published on Facebook, Mususu Kalenga praises Makebi Zulu’s character, intellect, and resilience, affirming his suitability for Zambia’s highest office.

Mususu Kalenga, a speaker, writer, lawyer, and entrepreneur, has publicly endorsed Makebi Zulu’s candidacy for Republican President in a detailed personal reflection shared on 18 December 2025. Kalenga recounts their longstanding friendship, which began in the 1990s when Kalenga moved to Kaunda Square Stage 1 and was introduced to Zulu’s family through a local church. He describes Makebi Zulu as a young man of remarkable intelligence and spiritual depth, whose early ability to interpret scripture left a lasting impression on him.

Kalenga highlights three exceptional qualities he believes Makebi Zulu possesses: a powerful mind, a courageous inner attitude, and an extraordinary ability to bring out the best in others. He emphasises Zulu’s love of knowledge, commitment to continuous learning, and willingness to challenge the status quo. Despite his intellectual depth, Kalenga notes Zulu’s humility and soft-spoken nature.

The endorsement stresses Zulu’s resilience and steadfastness, with Kalenga asserting that Zulu remains unbroken despite facing significant challenges, standing firmly for his beliefs even under threat. Central to Kalenga’s admiration is Zulu’s dedication to justice, the rule of law, and defending the marginalised. He praises Zulu’s capacity to foster growth and contribution in others, describing him as a leader who rises with those around him.

Kalenga is clear that Zulu is not without flaws but argues that his openness to learning and inclusive leadership style qualify him for the presidency. He concludes with an emphatic affirmation of his trust in Makebi Zulu’s ability to lead Zambia, urging others to support him as well.
